Sydney, Australia, 2 September 2024: Konica Minolta Australia unveils new bizhub i-Series, elevating simplicity and security
Konica Minolta Australia has launched the new bizhub i-Series, designed to revolutionise how businesses handle their printing and document management needs.
This innovative series combines cutting-edge security features with unparalleled ease of use, making it the ideal solution for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and enterprise customers alike. The bizhub i-Series offers a seamless and intuitive user experience, tailored to meet the unique needs of any workplace. It boasts a user-friendly interface with flexible customisation options, convenient app grouping, and intelligent media sensors that detect paper type to minimise feeding issues and boost productivity. Additionally, the i-Series supports remote maintenance for quick troubleshooting and reduced on-site service visits.
Paul Colarelli, product marketing manager, Konica Minolta Australia, said, “Modern businesses need secure and user-friendly technology to ensure every piece of data that passes through operations is carefully kept under lock and key. The new bizhub i-Series addresses these needs with advanced security measures that ensure sensitive information is always protected. The bizhub i-Series lets businesses operate with peace of mind, bolstered by features such as proactive virus protection, privacy legislation compliance, and early detection of unauthorised access.
“Additionally, the bizhub i-Series stands out with its seamless connectivity to essential cloud applications directly from the user panel. This ensures that businesses can maintain high productivity levels with minimal disruptions, as Konica Minolta Australia continues to provide value to the modern office.”
The bizhub i-Series is designed to adapt to the evolving workplace, offering enhanced security and simplicity without compromise. Key security features include a simplified login process for customers using Microsoft Azure (Microsoft Entra ID) or Google Workspace, which offers the opportunity to connect to their files or folders with the use of single sign-on (SSO). If organisations select BitDefender protection, additional layers of security are added for different target groups, preventing the spread of malware to other networked devices and ensuring that the multifunction printer does not become a springboard for the loss of corporate information. If a threat is detected the anti-virus makes sure that the IT administrator will be immediately notified with enriched information about the type and origin of the threat, while end-users can see the current state of the anti-virus via the home screen.
Beyond improved security processes, the bizhub i-Series A4 models now have the option of up to three additional paper trays for increased paper capacity, types, and formats, boosting potential productivity and output levels. The intelligent media sensor, an automatic media detection function that is based on both ultrasonic (for envelopes) and optical sensors (based on the amount of the transmitted and reflected light), has been improved. This functionality enables the device to automatically detect the type of paper (plain, thin, thick, envelope, recycled, coated, index, and coloured) that is being printed on, resulting in a smooth paper feed. The intelligent media sensor is an available option to add to the A3 devices, excluding bizhub C451i, bizhub C551i, bizhub C651i, and bizhub C751i of which this feature is standard.
Paul Colarelli said, “Konica Minolta Australia is committed to taking productivity further. The bizhub i-Series is the latest innovation in multifunctional devices for the modern workplace, combining the latest security technology with a simple and fast workflow. It empowers employees, supports business objectives, and helps organisations thrive in a competitive market.”
