Konica Minolta

Diversity & Inclusion

We believe everyone has the right to enjoy equal opportunities in our workplace and community. We have an active Diversity and Inclusion Committee and four sub-committees for Disability, Gender, Culture and Sexuality and Gender Identity.

Our aim is to be a company that contains a broad and diverse group of individuals that all contribute to our greater success with their different perspectives and experiences.

We want every person to feel valued and encouraged to bring their whole selves to work so that they can enjoy their lives to their fullest

We have an active Diversity and Inclusion Committee as well as sub-committees for Gender, Culture, Sexuality and Gender Identity, and Disability. Through these committees we consider and champion changes that will benefit our employees, our customers and the wider community.

Providing opportunities for Refugees

In 2018 Konica Minolta partnered with an organization called Career Seekers which arranges internships for refugees and asylum seekers who are looking to continue their professional careers in Australia but finding it difficult. So far, we have welcomed and employed 4 interns through this program.

Closing the Gap

We are committed to working together towards reconciliation and to close the gap between Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal Australians. In 2020 we will be building on the work that we have already done to create cultural awareness and indigenous participation, by developing and launching our first Reconciliation Action Plan.

The Konica Minolta Rainbow Network

At Konica Minolta we work together to create an environment that is open and accepting, and we believe that everyone should feel comfortable to bring their whole self to work.  With that in mind we introduced the Konica Minolta Ally Network - The Rainbow Network, in 2020.

The Rainbow Network is made up of members of the Konica Minolta team who are aware or want to learn of the issues faced by the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTQIA+) community, and be known as allies.

Improving Accessibility

In 2018 and 2019 Konica Minolta was awarded the Good Design Award by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP) for of a range of MFDs in recognition of their design features, including Universal Design.

For people with disabilities, performing some of the tasks of their job - like printing, can be difficult.

By combining our universal design principles of accessibility and usability with innovation, we create functions and controls that make documents easier to handle, information easier to share and technology easier to manage for people with a wide range of abilities.
