Our public commitment to reconciliation, to build better relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the broader Australian community for the benefit of all Australians.
The Reflect RAP is the first of four RAP types — Reflect, Innovate, Stretch and Elevate. The Reflect RAP lays the foundations for future RAPs and reconciliation initiatives. It delivers outcomes around relationships, respect and opportunities. These outcomes contribute towards the five dimensions of reconciliation: race relations, equality and equity, institutional integrity, unity, and historical acceptance.
Some of the ways we intend to contribute to reconciliation are by:
- Paying respect to traditional custodians with an Acknowledgment of Country at events and meetings, on our website and emails, and in our offices
- Celebrating and acknowledging significant days or weeks such as National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week
- Utilising our people, expertise, resources, and networks, we will work with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers and business partners to help support new opportunities and relationships with First Nations communities.

Konica Minolta launched its Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) on Wednesday, 1 December 2021, from its new office in Adelaide (Tandanya). Our RAP is a public commitment to reconciliation, to build better relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the broader Australian community for the benefit of all Australians.
Senior Kaurna Man, Mickey (Kumatpi) O’Brien performed a Smoking Ceremony for the branch and conducted a Welcome to Country. Artist and Kamilaroi and Jerringa Woman from NSW, Jasmine Sarin, spoke about the artwork selected for our RAP, Transient 1.
The event was an opportunity for the Managing Director and Chair, Yohei Konaka, to highlight the company’s commitment to reconciliation and for staff and external guests to learn more about the development and significance of the RAP. In addition, employees in branches across Australia got to watch the event online.
